Today’s post might be a little different from the usual because today I’m reviewing a really cool (and stylish) public tracker called KickassTorrents. Yes, the name may be a little awkward, but the content of this great tracker is far beyond what you might expect. Greeting over 100,000 visitors per day, KickassTorrents is a force to be reckoned with.

KaT was started by a team of professional coders and webmasters on February 2009 and currently tracks over 9,000,000 external torrents. To see such a young torrent site grow on such short notice shows that the guys over at KaT are determined to be the best of the best. With a great search engine and usability, KaT has a bright future. KaT also boasts a variety of features that might not be seen on some of the larger torrent sites.

Some of these include:

  • Fast page-loading times, compared to other “young” trackers.
  • Clean layout without any annoying ads whatsoever.
  • Real-time torrent stats with real seeder and leecher numbers unlike some sites that report fake torrent stats.
  • Direct HTTP downloading of selected torrents (currently in beta).

  • Customizable user area.
  • Eye-grasping design that keeps you yearning for more.
  • Many extras like AJAX comments preview or FireFox search plugin.

  • Last.fm and IMDB integration.

Just by taking a look at the awesome features above, I’m pretty sure you can conclude that KaT is a 5-star tracker that deserves more than it already has.
